This site is being constructed to help me gain a greater understanding of PHP and general programming concepts, and learn some basic MySQL. It will help me develop the necessary programming and database skills to start offering more advanced application solutions to the clients of my small one-man firm http://fresh-off.com/.
I also intend to take the skills and insights learned in my ITC-280 class and class project (this site) and apply them towards the current development framework I’ve chosen to work with, Drupal. Hopefully the knowledge and skills I acquire will help me in the future to evaluate, and possibly adopt and implement other emerging web application technologies such as Ruby on Rails and Django.

While I am a HUGE advocate of web standards, semantic coding, and organized information architecture, it became necessary to employ some rather "lax" habits in building some areas of this site. It is after all, a "sandbox" type of site! [so don’t sweat my inline styles, incorrect document types, and frequent font tags!]
